We’ve all been there, the ghoster or the ghosted. It’s awkward and uncomfortable.

Plus, if you’ve only been on a couple of dates do you really owe them anything?

I think the reason people ghost is because it feels like it might cause some level of conflict which makes most people uncomfortable, understandably so.

As I’ve gotten older and learned to express myself better, ghosting has become a no go for me. I think if either party has taken you out on multiple dates, spent money on you, etc, some form of explanation is needed.

My rule is if I let them know, as uncomfortable as it is, I’ve done my part.

So, to make it easier – here are some things you can copy and paste for that awkward convo😊

  • “I've really enjoyed our time together, but I'm realizing that I'm not in a place to get into a relationship. I want to be honest with you as I respect your time. Hope you can understand."

  • “I have enjoyed our time together and you have been so much fun to hang out with, but I wanted to be honest and let you know I don’t see this progressing further. “

  • “It was great meeting you, but I didn't feel enough of a connection to go on another date. I wish you all the best!"

And there you go ladies and gents!

Remember dating is fun, there will be many people a long the way that you meet that won’t quit be “your thing” and that’s okay! 🤍

But let’s be kind to each other a long the way✨
